Sorry, this is one of my first postings,

I had not heard if anyone tried this so I thought what the hell. I pulled both stock pipes off the R3T and drilled out the cat. I stepped-up the hole to a 1" bit, it was a bit of a chore on the left side. I had to cut the elbow off and with the help of a buddy, we drilled the hole and welded the elbow back on.

The tone is nice, not loud allot like the TORS that I have heard and the cat removal from the R3Standards. The local stealer had loaded the Triumph tune for aftermarket pipes, the tune worked well (seat of the pants). We are going to put it on the dyno soon to see if it made any difference in torque or HP. I know we like pictures so here's a few.

and so it begins.
Hadn't done it to a set of R3T pipes, but I did to a set of standards,
that was several mods ago...
I'm afraid you're bitten with the mod bug.
There is no known cure,
sure it'll go into remission once in a while,
for a short time,
then appears again without warning.
It's known effects include the following.
A euphoric "high" just after a successful mod.
Like a junkie after a fix.
Then cold sweats and nervousness again sets in
when you're just about to "DO" something you can't undo.
But just like a junkie, you just got to do it.
Congrats and welcome to the club.;)

Mod Test Results

What a difference that made, the tune the local stealer added made a world of difference on how the bike ran. After the first test we fodified the tune with tune boy and opened the seconadaries 100% and added 3% fuel across the board. The bike is unbelieveabl, seems to run cooler and is night& day difference in throttle response and performance.:D:D:D

Hey Johnny,

Did you put it on the dyno after making the tune changes? I plan on getting a baseline dyno run before I install the Jardines in next couple of weeks. I have another tune (thanks Nico) that adds fuel that I'll use if the Jardines cause it to run too lean.

You know your next step is triple filters. Remember, there's no such thing as too much horsepower.

i am on tripple filters, tuneboy and stock pipes that got gutted and has 18" glasspacks. 138hp 156lbs/ft going thru rear tires like my SC R3... 32-34mpg

Hey Harry,

No dyno yet I want to schedule it soon. Those D&D's are still on my mind. We need to talk! Hope you had a good weekend, it is starting to get a little warm...got a love it.:)
