Flush - and I just put in progressive springs in the weekend.

How difficult was it and do you have any tips?

Were you able to do that by just removing the fork caps and dropping them in or did you have to dismantle the forks?

Handlebars, caps, spacer, washer & springs out. Pushed forks up to check oil level (had to add a few drops), lower forks, put in new springs, carefully place in washer, spacers (new springs were 15mm longer than factory, so re-used factory spacers), screw caps back on, re-attach handlebars, done. 20 minutes tops.

That is really easy. I was going to do the ones on my VStrom sidecar rig but they must be dismantled to do so.

I guessing you did not change the fork oil?? Just topped it off?

What's the oil level trick? When you push them up how high do you fill to?

I think their is a pre determined amount of oil in the manual and you can get the motion pro syringe to fill it. I wonder if you can suck out the old oil with that syringe.

I guessing you did not change the fork oil?? Just topped it off?

Oil was still clean & clear. Didn't see the need to change. Added maybe 5 or 10 ml's each side.

Builders steel ruler marked off with tape to 110 mm as per the book. Jack under bike to lift up, another jack under wheel to push forks up. measure oil level to top lip. Because forks were on an angle still, we put the tape at the lip and made sure the oil was in the centre of the ruler widthwise. Does that make sense? I should have taken photo's.

Yup. That’s what the book says for the Touring.
