For fellow Touring owners, are your fork tube tops flush with the top of the triple tree, or proud of/higher?

I can't trust the memory banks anymore, but late night falling asleep one night recently I realized mine were 1/4" or better above the triple tree, and sort of, maybe, remember dropping the front a little when I did the progressive springs in front, for quicker handling. I realized it might be the high speed weave I've been chasing, if I did, as I don't remember it doing that new, but I don't remember when it started.

Were you able to do that by just removing the fork caps and dropping them in or did you have to dismantle the forks?

I seem to remember dropping them in, but not positive. A mechanic buddy helped and it was years ago and we've done stuff to a lot of bikes, though, so I'm not 100% positive.

I'll be taking mine in to a suspension specialist over in Auburn, WA.

If they've been dropped that could change the turn-in feel....or it might be done to lower the bike. But if inadvertent well....just loosen the bolts and hike it back up!
