r3t lost all electrical power... im stranded

Good question.

That's the one thing I didn't check. I looked and was going to follow it, but it's wrapped up with a bunch of other wiring and I wasn't going to unwrap it to find out.

Might grab a mirror & look underneath @ rear left. next to crank angle sensor. See post #10 of this thread. As for the d/s tire, probably wont say much, becoming fairly popular , but if he does , just thank him for his two cents.

Rocketeerman,

Thanks for the info'. Like JDuke 1980, I tried to follow it from the battery but was quickly thwarted.

Regards,
Mark

It was the ignition switch... A new one has been ordered...

I'm assuming there have been problems with the ignition switchs in the past?

thanks, when they call me to pick it up, I'll mention that...

Actually, there is no key for the seat or the gas tank on the R3T, but I will make sure the bags and the ignition stay the same....

This is the first ignition switch failure that I've heard of on the R3T. Did they say exactly what the failure was?

If it was a solder failure, you may want to check into headlight relays like many of us have gone to.

they didn't say what was wrong with it.
I did call and ask if they were replacing the saddlebag locks too... He said he ordered a whole lock set, so they should be, but he won't know until he gets the shipment.
