I put Kuryakan Longhorns on my engine rails and found that they placed by boots WAY too close to the shifter and the brake. Went to the crash bar mounts and they are perfect!

I did the same, moved them forward to the bend in the engine rail, then positioned them forward from the vertical. Rest my heels on the cruzer peg, and splay my foot around the crash bar, very comfy for me at 6-3, I can brake without taking my foot off of the peg and down shift too, don't have to move my feet forward until I need to shift. Normally in 4 th gear most of the time around here, 50 to 100 when ever you want , no shifting, just swinging through the curves, want to get sporty, just down shift with your heal, wants not to like.
