Ah cool Dawg...the Trance has always been a good frame and if you just made the switch to the big hoops...oh man...you're gonna REALLY dig it brutha. I'll never go back to the 26ers. I had two Giants before the Jet9 Niner: an AC1 all-mountain and a NRS1 X-country race. Giant makes a fine bike. You'll like it.

Last year I bought the Giant Anthem X 29er, fast bike but I felt off with the geometry of the bike, no matter how hard I tried I could not find the sweet spot so I sold it and picked up the Trance 29er...yup, I'm roll'n now. Just feels better, for me anyway. Had a 2 hour ride couple of days ago and loved it. You are right about the 29" hoops....I'll never go back. How do you like the Jet9 Niner, I looked up the specs, looks like a sweet ride!
