R 3 seat problem

i wanted to remove seat so turned key pressed down on seat pulled safety tab and ring pull came of on my finger so seat still on. anyone got any ideas.

Pliers onto the wire the ring was on.

There is some crappy ideas on R3 and the seat pull tab was the 1st one I discovered when I bought mine
