Quick speed/rpm question

Yea I don't have a Tack either. I'm making some changes to the MAP in my PCV and it would be nice to know a couple of the speeds/RPM for my calculations. Some body here has to have an R3 with a Tach that's not snowed in!

I've got a Scangauge. Very handy little tool, besides letting you pull and reset any DTC codes it gives you things like water temp, open/closed loop, ignition advance, intake air temp, oh yeah, and RPMs. A very worthwhile investment. The scan rate is too slow to use it as a real Tach, but it will certainly give you RPMs at a given speed.

I'll check it out next time I get the bike out. It may be the end of the week as my house looks like a bomb hit it. Water leak, followed by a complete re-plumbing job and the associated drywall repairs. Not pretty, or cheap either.

I knew I should have just called you! Hey on another note, I saw a guy riding a new R3T today down town San Bernardino. I had just come from the Triumph dealer, who told me he had sold his new 012 R3T to an older customer in Banning. Not sure if it was the same guy.

I gave my info to the dealer and told him to give it to the guy in Banning who bought the bike. Who knows, maybe another Rocket in the area! Well,,,40 miles away anyway.

Ok Muleskinner I had the bike out today and have some results for you.
Speed was taken from GPS for accuracy.
RPM was taken from a highly accurate Tach that runs off the ODBII.
I was surprised at the results...
I have included 1st 2nd and 3rd for the benefit of others that may need that info.

1ST @2500 =20MPH
2ND @2500=30MPH
3RD @2500=42MPH
4TH @2500=52MPH
5TH @2500=62MPH
This is a fully equipped stock R3T with no mods.
Full sized windshield on.

RPM to MPH is what it is, unless gearing is changed (tyre/wheel size) not effected by mods or screens.
