I asked my dealer for the cost of a Triumph Quick Shift $563 parts, $20 for shop supplies , $202 labor.
Ouch! I'll need to save my nickels.

If it came with it, it wouldn't bother me but for street riding, it's a complete waste of (that kind of) money IMHO.
I prefer the mechanical interaction at the cost of a few milliseconds when riding on public roads.

It's spendy but fun, though somewhat less smooth than on the Tiger. The main reason I like it is mid-corner shifting (if needed) doesn't upset the bike anywhere near how manual shifting does. Day-to-day I swap between using it and not using it, based on the situation.

My dealer did not have the part in stock when I bough the bike 2 days ago but it will be added at my 600mi service. I have read just about every opinion on this here and watched some yt videos. I'm getting it because it's nice to have the choice for certain situations.

seems like mine cost $300 something total when I bought the GT new. Much more expensive now. But even at that price I would for sure get it. One of the best bang for the buck additions I have made on the Rocket. Pure fun, and that is why I ride, fun.

If it fits in the "puts a smile on your face" category and you want it- go for it! I usually do....
It puts a smile on your face with putting along in traffic as well, at least for a lazy person like me who likes not needing the clutch except when stopped.
