I am currently running on my second Bridgestone 240/55 rear tire. I really like everything about the Bridgestone, except that it raises the rear of the bike quite a bit. Are any of you running this rear tire with 11.5" shocks? I really would like to stick with Bridgestones and get lower shocks, but I am wondering it the 240/55 will rub anything if I use lower shocks? I currently run Triumph "Comfort" shocks, which I love the ride... but I also want to lower my bike some get a little less "flickability" and a little more stability at high speeds..

1Oldbul has a set of slightly shorter Hagon Nitro for sale. give him a shout.

Yep that was me, but I have 1" lowered and the Bridgestone. Also had not adjusted the springs stiffer.

A taller tyre with shorter shocks is going to give you less tyre clearance - twice.

I am really wondering if the small amount of tire heigth is whats causing your stability problem. I run the Bridgy with YSS shocks that are adjustable plus or minus 10 mm. Mine are set 10 mm taller and I have not noticed any stability issues yet. Of course I have only run the speedo to 6 Oclock with the bridgy as the corn was to tall and its dangerous if you cannot see critters crossing the roads. I would also look into other issues as you do have a fair amount of mileage on your bike. maybe the balancing or triple tree bearings being a little loose. Whats the tread look like on the front tire?
Just bouncing some ideas out there.
