That would be one explanation. Or maybe the GIPro was on the right setting but not operating correctly. You know, the learning process it sometimes needs to go through may not have been completely adequately. I found that mine worked first up and each time I have disconnected it/the battery it's worked just fine without any need to reset or "relearn". It's possible that when you removed the battery it's reset itself to be working correctly whereas previously it wasn't. I could be completely wrong here but there was someone at RDU in Hervey Bay whose indicators was doing what yours are now. Still think you should try all the ATRE settings and see if it makes any difference.

By the way, it was pretty obvious from your description what bike you had. But some people won't read things properly, make assumptions about what you meant and then miss the point completely. Would be helpful if it was clearer what you ride. To update your info, go into User CP above. It's the button next to HOME. Click on "Edit your details", scroll down to "additional information" and enter your bike details in the ""What you ride" box.
