Question about Noise while releasing clutch

the spring/judder is there to elimitate the judder/clutch chatter. the clearance in the clutch pac is so that the clutches will have clearance so that the clutches will not have friction while not engaged also to hold down on heat.
a general rule is to have .010 per clutch of clearance depending upon what purpose the clutches are used for.
the clutch chatter useually is caused by incorrect oil modifers verses the type of friction material on the clutches verses the spring/hydraulic pressures
now if you used friction modifiers to correct the chater then you also affect the holding power of the clutches so it is a fine ballance.

I use Motul now but that all started with the OEM Triumph oil and hasn't changed.

I use Motul too and also did in the Roadster. I don't think that's it. Interested to see if this is what happened to yours too...

The best explanation in this thread, so far, is from @TheFALCON (appears to be no longer active here) who said.....
"the anti judder spring had made a deep groove into the steelplate which it is pressed against.
Then looking at the new set and checking the manual “there should not be a groove in any of the plates!!!”.

I'll compare mine when I get to it - soon, I hope.
