I just ordered a set of these beauties. The valving is a "flap" valve rather than an inertial one as on the 440s. These are supposed to be the "tits" and the latest technology. Now used in most race bikes. Any responses?
They are gorgeous pieces with hand adjustable preload settings.
I looked at these when I ordered my new 440's a couple of weeks ago, but the dealer advised that the 440's were (in his opinion) better kit, and worth the extra bucks. Cheers, Terry.
What type and size rear tire are you running, George? I have 12' 440 stds leftover from my VTX 1800 and I'd like to make sure that they'll fit nicely and won't mess too badly with the stock geometry before I install them.

After some miles on the Progressive 430 HD's, I have to say they are the best addition to the bike I've made. The dampening is flawless....no rebound pogo-ing and a dead flat ride. What an incredible difference from the stock shocks!! The spring tension adjustment is by hand and they are hard to turn but doable. The look is gorgeous as well. I've never tried the 440s but can't think of a better ride than these give. BTW mine are stock length 12.5".
Recommend them very highly!
