Primary TPS

Replaced tps & old one heading to bin, but curiosity got the better of me, so cut it in half. Basically what I can see (not much) is why they fail is being dirty at the pick ups?? Got no idea really (you tech guys might know) but thinking spraying electrical cleaner in the a few times while turning the spring loaded bit might make them good again??
I saw a thread about the voltage being tested, but I havnt got one to test on another old tps that I have changed.

As its a sealed unit can't see it getting dirty they tend to wear at the 6.0 setting you can set it little higher 6.2 and 7.4 respective on secondary tps and get abit more use out of it also you can run a test for voltage on tune ecu for flat spots... P.s you will have a job testing the old 1 now lol but I have to say you done better than me first time out I changed mine I screwed the plastic insert up so never got used that made my day for sure

They will wear on the inside contacts also the lube will get hard
The way they r made they have a spring that returns it to and rests against the throttle. If for some reason the tps freezes at high rpm the way they r made the throttle will return to normal position. That is why they sometimes stick and cause problems

Probably need to spray with wd40 and supper glue back to gether.
