Newbie Canadian with Predator/Tuneboy combo questions

Hi guys

I bought a 2007 R3 from "Graydog" on this site in December. Bike has Predators with supertrapp muffler, no secondaries, triple K and N's . It has the Tuneboy program with "SAM's tune ???" installed. I believe this was a special tune developed by the Predator exhaust builder. Hoping someone can elaborate.

Just started riding it due to a late spring in Canada. Great machine with surprisingly good handling. I absolutely love the power but find it just a tad loud, especially when trying to sneak away to work in the morning. I added the Supertrapp plates to the muffler and it was mildly quieter although it seemed to reduce the power significantly at higher rpm's.

Here's my questions.

Can I install a quieter muffler on the existing Predator exhaust system?

If I add plates to the muffler, do I need to install a different Tuneboy program for maximum performance?

Is there heat shields available for the Predators?

There is significant intake noise with the airbox removed. If I re-install the original airbox and add a drop in K and N will this require a new "tune"?

Is the Truimph Off Road pipes a good alternative to the Predators? I see a set available for $400.00 and may consider selling them as I have the original exhaust.

Finally any Canadians on the site who can recommend a good shop for servicing these bikes especially a Tuneboy proficient shop in the Toronto area?

Thanks guys

I can't really help but I had a Supertrap on a quad and the more plates you put in, the more room for exhaust to leave. Therefore it made it louder. I Think. I could have it backwards. And for the Triumph Off Road Silencers (TORS), my bike will be getting a set in about 3 weeks. The tune will only be a Triumph medium tune, so I don't expect a lot. It will only be a little louder and just a small bit slower. I Think. I'll let you know. If you decide to sell them, put them on here.

You bought the wrong bike. It sounds like Graydog put together a sweet bike. Everything you want to do will decrease performance. I think your nuts to do this. I have every thing you want sitting in my garage because I took it off my bike to do something similar to your bike. If you want I'll trade you for your pipe. Hell I'll even throw in some more stock parts! You should think about this before you change stuff. Because you've felt the power and I doubt if you'll be happy with less.

I too have stock pipes and some tors I will trade you for that predator if you really don't like how loud it is :D
