Well, that dropping out of gear may be a indent spring according to my dealer and based on the symptoms I have found through searches I am hoping that is right.
they go in tomorrow to see, if not they pull the motor.
I did then deten spring on my bike....was a pain in the arse getting it repaired as i was living in Darwin , Northern Territory. Mechanic at the local dealership didnt have a clue how to due the job. Triumph Australia were prepared to fly a tech up to the Territory to oversee the repair... after some pretty heated conversations between me and them. In the end tech talked mechanic through the job over the phone. Good luck
turned out to be the detent spring and some special nut that is part of it. The arm was ok. But the spring, nut, change of fluids and labor is $279.00, I guess it could have been worse.
So if any of you notice a loose shifter up and down this is probably what it will be.
Almost worth making a sticky but searching for indent spring should do it although most would call it a detent spring (and ball) No worries though..........sooner or later this will come up
Thanks for the update!!!!!
