Ok...so to be clear as I wish to use this for phone (GPS) long trips and not lighting a cig....the until has USB ports? Not a power point like auto/cig?

No, the factory port is a DIN style receptical,. You can easily change it to a cigerate style port or a USB port. The connector is easy to reach from side panel. Powerlet makes several usable bits, or you can diy from a auto parts store.
