Well I think my power commander is doing some cross talking between the three circuits. When I got my bike back from being tuned this last time from the dreaded lean condition all seemed well. Now that we are in summer mode(hot and sticky) I experienced a bad idle, stall, lower power below 2,000 rpm's, and a little heat. I took it back to the shop that worked on it and they ended up taking two percent fuel out idle and below 2,000. It's a lot better now, but still think a little more could be taken out. Like maybe another percent. Cruising and WOT seem ok. My concern is if you take out even more fuel at idle it will affect both cruising and WOT because of the potential for cross talk? I wasn't charged anything and was told if I'm still not ok with it I can bring it back again. After this season I still think I'm ready to give up and go back to all stock(less the TORS) with a stock tune with TORS.

The beauty of the Power Commander is that you can adjust the AFR at any single RPM in increments, of course.. What you really must do is have the bike on a dyno with an O2 probe so that the AFR can be graphed at all rpms.
Adjusting the AFR at idle or at any other rpm...will not affect any other rpm AFR.
The entire point of the PC is to permit you to adjust the AFR at each incremental RPM.

I had no end of trouble with PC3 on the Rocket... ( no probs on my Fireblade tho) Never got the tune right until I had the lot ripped out & a Motec system installed.

Bike runs ok, but never thought it was all that more powerful than stock. Still think I'm going all stock next year minus the TORS and the stock TORS tune. Tired of issues. Just want my reliability back.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm pretty much over discussing PC anything. It's a III and there won't be a V. Other than my old car anything I've ever modified from stock has in the long run been a disappointment from either a performance, or a reliability standpoint.

Cat bypass & Tors ( or Maddogs ) with a reflashed stock ecu ( Tuneboy in my case) made a world of diff over stock. Once I added PC 3 ( for the CArpenter engine) then computer tune issues were terrible.

Nothing to do with the Carp work, it was fine with the Motec ecu, just the addition of PC3 didn't work at all well.

It is what it is. If Carpenter can tune effectively with a PCIII/V why is it no one else can, or is the reality that someone is stretching the truth a little to make their results sound better than they actually were?

My tuner said the problem was with the Triumph wiring loom & the PC connections to said loom.. Reckoned it was a fire waiting to happen.Seemed to know what he was doing, as it was sweet as, with the Motec set up.
