Please someone talk me out of this

Had a CX500 back in the day ( Hondas idea of a Guzzi) , fun but ugly ...think I dated someone like that once.
Almost bought a 1100 Guzzi Jackell in 2000 ( the dealer was a prick and killed the deal as far as I was concerned) but ended up with a HD Superglide ( I think I got the more reliable of the two). heh heh
Just suck on some Atomic Fireballs when you ride it and it should keep your mind off how fugly it is.

Guzzis are what they are. Some EARLY EV's have a really uncomfy seat - but that seems to have an after market seat.

If I had to choose 1 marque to ride it would be Guzzis. And OLD ones. They're pretty close to bulletproof - as the engines were designed for an Army 3 wheeler.
I spend pretty much a day a week at mates shop. He specialises in Guzzis.

I've had this since 1982 - It'll be absolutely the last bike I own.
I had a chance to visit the factory at mandello del lario saw the military tricycle wheel up front tracks on the rear

It was far more interesting (for me) at Agostini's in Mandello. His daughter was simply stunning - I was smote - Ok I was young and impressionable. And I could happily live near any of lakes up there.

Final report, there will be no big jugs coming into the garage. (I passed on the Goose and with the Wife, it's just nature.) The bike looked good, but failed to start on the first try. The owner said he had experienced some issues with the crankshaft sensor and once that was pulled and cleaned it fired right up. I did did the bike for a test ride and was just not impressed. At low speeds it handled like a tractor, probably due to the added steering stabilizer. The machine just didn't appeal to me, at least now I can say I have rode a Guzzi. I believe the Union Jack will fly in the garage in the foreseeable future, but I have also never rode a Ural and on occassion consume a little Vodka........ Just saying............

This showed up on the local Craig's list, 98 Moto Guzzi V11EV, good miles and great shape according to the ad. Seller owns multiple bikes and vintage cars and needs to thin the herd. I am going to look at this "Ugly Goose" Sunday morning. Never owned or ever rode a Guzzi before, but ****ed if this one isn't calling out to me. (I was even thinking of an eventual sidecar addition.) Any current or former owners here with input, good or bad.......
Ride the R3 there, test ride the MG, ride the R3 back...problem solved.
