Just got back from the track with my 12' Roadster. Carpenter pipe, Carpenter tune and K and N's. Best I could muster was a 11.97 and I don't suck at riding. What the hell is wrong? Are the secondary butterflies slowing me down? Any ideas? So far this thing is a big disappointment and the high dollar header makes it worse.
I think the old bastards (05') like I ride were advertised to run 11:30. I'm sure that's with a buck and a quarter weight professional drag racer at the helm. Someone like Ricky Gadson. Your time might not be to far off the real world numbers. Rockets are quick to a 100 mph. In the 1/4 mile there are a LOT of motorcycles that will hand them their ass.

like rick said you don't really know what HP your putting out unless you dyno , in some cases you may even loose out on hp in somewhere in the rev range !
When my bike was new and box stock I ran 11.7 .
That was stock exhaust, under seat air filter and and Canadian spec (empty) cat box. I weigh approx 180lbs
