This is just here say, but there is some question about the kevlar plates wear, and sending kevlar through the motor. Anyone know anything..Whats the stock disks made out of? Jack

Good question Jack, I hadn't heard of any problems with the Barnett clutch. I do know that they make clutches for just about every make and model of motorcycle out there and if there was a problem I would think it would have surfaced by now. Barnett probably makes OEM stuff for different manufacturers.

Just another good reason not to wait until 10,000 miles to change your oil...

Tomo

Yea Tom I'am sure your right.I just can't get over my paranoia about trans.ware and clutch particles pumping through my engine.I change oil every 1000 miles like a nut case. (my only vice)52 bucks a wack. Good thing I'am not a high mileage rider.. One oil change for the rocket = two changes for my little honda that gets the used oil from the rocket,so it evens out.The honda dosen't deserve synthetic, lol Anyway I guess the particals are so small they just float through the bearings with the oil.Thats another plus for the K&N air filters.Yes they let in larger particals than paper, but are they any biger than the particals from the clutch and trans. I need a spectroanalyzer..How much are they???? TeHe Jack

It's a beautiful 81 degree day here today! Got the Rocket all polished up and went out to see how many non waving Harleys I could pass ( loss count). Why is it that they all dress like pirates? Hope that spring has hit the rest of you Captains as well.:bch:

Snuffy - you see how much sensitivity training some folks have groaned through. Suddenly, from warm and shiny we've jumped over the privates (hardlyablesons) to clutches. Next you know, light in the loafers will lead into lithium grease.:D

In lieu of the V for victory or V-twin, I do the III finger salute. I wonder if that'll catch on? But you're right about the non-waving hd plodders; particularly the non-baggage handlers.
