hello all,

When Im up in the 90 mkph to 100 mph range and turn the throttle a little quickly the engine revvs high with little response in torque for a second or so, kinda like the rear wheel needs to catch up with the throttle???

Any explanations for this?

Adjust that clutch before you fry it too much, you should be able to make it good again. 8)

You need about 1/8 " free play @ the
clutch lever handle, before you start feeling
any kind of resistance.
To MUCH slack @ lever its HARD getting in & out
of gear and finding neutral.
To LITTLE slack ( no free play ) goes in gear easy
, shift easy , you can find neutral easy , BUT
IT'S ....the same as you are riding around with
clutch lever PARTLY squeezed in all the time.
1/8" To 3/16 " max free play not sure How many
Millimeters that is
Adjusted with little chrome wheel @ lever where cable goes
IN

Not the little chrome wheel with the 1-2-3-4 ON it
That is used for different hand sizes

PS: I need a clutch cable adjustment @ about 5000 miles

Rocket clutch cable is limp spaghetti. It stretchs pretty quickly. Even Barnetts' heavy duty cable has streched quite a bit on me...

RTM-read the manual for proper adjustments-but yes, you're clutch is slipping.
