I signed the final paperwork transferring my 2005 BMW R1200RT over to Cascades Moto in Beaverton, OR for a new 2008 Rocket III Touring today. I'm actually bike-less until the $1,000+ worth of accessories arrive and are installed. Our weather is supposed to take a nose dive this next weekend that could include snow. I guess I'll have to weather the time it takes to get everything perfect. My friend caught me sitting on my new R3T that included the shipping plastic still on the gas tank and side-bags. I think it's a cute scooter! LOL

From one new owner to another you will love it even with the cold I had it back for the first service in less than two weeks. I am still pushing the cornering of this bike it handles like my old 750. Point being even with it being cold you will have it broke in in a short time.

Congrats! :bch: More pics! Cute! I think not!:D The FBG is perfect, awesome, a magnificent creation, the MAX; but, cute? That would be the R1200.

Very nice!!! Im getting closer everyday to making my deal. So since the economy is in the dumps were you able to swing a nice package from the dealer? I wouldnt ask you what you paid but just what kind of mood was the dealer in. Might give me an advantage when I go to make my deal. They have been discounting R3T's here in the northeast. I could pick one up for around $15,000.00

Enjoy the new scoot and congrats!!!

Bob, congrats.
You need to take er out for a spin Before your accessories come in.
How can you just sit on her and NOT tell them to fill her up?
Tell them you need to check out the windshield height, you might want the taller one, if they think they're gonna make a sell,
They'll gas her up for you.
Anyway, congrats again.

You gotta know I'm pulling your chain with the cute thing! A little sarcasm goes a long way in getting attention. Not that the Rocket III Touring doen't get attention all on its own. LOL

I got the bike with about $1,000 worth of accessories for $18,000. I had to pay 5.9% interest on the loan because my credit rating is 659, only in the FAIR category. They're offering the 2008 models for 3.9% for GOOD ratings. The total over 6 years is just over $20,000 at $310 a month. That's a stripped Hardley!!!! :)
