How hard is it to remove the oil tank.
When the dealer put my bike back together, they have squished one of the seals at the back of the tank. Can a dumb prick like me fix it easy.I dont want to take it back to the dealer as it is a 3 hour trip one way.

Make yer dealer fix it as removing the oil tank is not a bundle of joy. You have to remove all kinds of junk including the throttle bodies. Space is so cramped for getting your tools in there that I just gave it up after a half hour of just trying to remove some bloody clamps. Fergittit I said, so I let the dealer mess with it all. I'd rather be riding.

A 3 hour trip to the dealer is just another excuse to ride for me. You'd best make sure your dealer has all the parts on hand when you go in though. You don't want to have to leave your bike sitting there for a week just because they waiting for the gaskets to ship.

Werd.

My bike developed oil staining down the L/H side below the oil tank. The dealer replaced the seals under warranty. But, it took about a week to get the new seals delivered.
