Off for a ride.
lol i have the same pic from my last trip to Wineglass Bay - came across it soon after hearing story of Kangaroo Jack, the convict who escaped from Port Arthur by skinning and wearing a kanga hide.
 
I am Glad that you all made it home safe and sound...The pics. were awesome.....Totally blew my mind on how different Oz. looks to everything I have seen on TV here.

I had to run out side and look at the Rocket to see how fast 65 Kph was....LOL Yep it looks like the Roo was having a hump with that car..

I would hate to see what it would look like with a M/C.......The Roo would have its front paws on the riders shoulders attacking the M/C from the back.

I still do not know what happen to Pointer and his Victory...?? I hated to hear he was to sick to ride...

Them Flying foxes still have me feeling creepy....and yes they are HUGE...we have bats here but they are about the size of your thumb ...not counting their wings....which is about 3 to 5 inches wide

Oh ...it was nice to see what you guys look like.....it is nice to see who is on the other side of this computer...
 
Joey, you can imagine the ribbing Ponters got just for riding a Victory. Sad though we were his own bike wasn't quite ready, we were merciless when it came to that stupid looking thing. Nothing happened with bike - I was just having one last shot, saying it made him sick. That's all mate.

I really wish I'd taken more pics. The ride out of Queenstown and one stretch in particular up the East Coast come to mind, but pretty much everywhere. Trouble was that if you were snapping every awesome scene you'd never get anywhere. Next trip I'm going to look into mounting a camera on my helmet for taking still shots and one (or two) on the bike for movie. Several of the guys did that so there might be a disc or download in due course.

Oh, and yellow signs like that are advisory speeds only. We never paid any attention to them although we avoided riding those roads after dark.

Ya'll should be ashamed to pick on Pointer cause his Rocket wasn't ready for the trip...Now That was Cold.....LOL

I thought TC looked good sitting on the Victory...So none of ya'll swapped out riding the Victory with Mr. Pointer..... I am sure I would have let him take a turn on my old Rocket

The pics you took were awesome....but I do know what you mean about stopping just to snap a few pics. I have a cheap digital camera with a big SD card in it..I put it around my neck on the outside of my jacket with it up close to the top of my chest.....Then I just snap away with it while riding,,,might get 10 good pics out of 30....LOL

I am glad that you all had a great trip and thanks for sharing it with us...
 
 
Got home last night ( flew home and having bike shipped to Brisbane) .. my niece has taken a turn for the worse..my family and Catherine needed me home pronto.

Had an f#ckin awesome time away. Both riding with the 40 other bikes ... and truthfully even more with just Richard. Tasmania is just so f#ckin awesome .. saw 3 cops the whole trip. Only one was manning a radar on the way to the ship back to the mainland. The locals are just so friendly and helpful it's a place it's really hard to leave. The ride through Cradle Mountain and the East Coast were some of the best riding I've ever done. Scenery is breathtaking , even though I've ridden through there 3 time before , I still find it stunning.

Thanks so much Ponters for all you did .. you know what I mean. You are indeed one of a kind that's for sure mate. It's little wonder your friends on the ride hold you in such high esteem ..

PS Ponters poisoned himself eating Pizza , white bread and f#ck know what else he knows he shouldn't be eating.

Geez TC I hope your niece is going to be Ok. Looking forward to more posts and pics.
 
Here's the last of mine. We were on out way to visit TCs friends at Birchs Bay near Hobart having stayed the night at Cygnet (with our bikes locked away in the dining room on the dance floor). This was just too good to pass by. Pictures don't do it justice nor capture what the whole area was like.
