Nice afternoon for a ride. Rolled it out, put in the key making sure bike in neutral and no start. Engine systems light stayed on. Shut off key and referenced manual. No real information. Even in the repair manual, not much information on the engine systems light. Got on the forum and learned a few things.
Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and jiggled that clutch switch around. Returned everything to standard then THREE quick on off cycles of the ignition and it started up with the engine light going out.
I lost my fuel indication/monitoring system again though.
Triumph seriously needs to come up with a better design for that clutch switch. It is so odd that the fuel indication system electrics flow through that switch. Plus, that is one rinky dink looking switch, cheap plastic, weakly attached. The thing is totally disconnected.
