I doubt you could do that bud they are all the same length and width. the height changes. I suspect even with the small one mounted like Duncan did will not fit under the claw. and if it did you would be stuffing the motor with hot air. IMO the longer runners like Duncan used on his first addition shown above reduce power output. If they did not then the OEM plumbing with the OEM air filter location would be better as it atleast has a chance of pulling cooler air. The problem with it is the air gets a chance to heat up under the tank so your back to square one. I see why he did it which was to rotate the filter to clear the attachment tabs for the base plate. He has since changed it some and removed the tabs like I did. I also plann on using a Outerwears prefilter to keep her dry. I use one on my SC bike and withthe filter out in the open you can still run her in a monsoon rain.Since posting on here I found your stuff on the .com site - 'Air intake mod info' thread, great info on there and will keep watching.
My particular interest is the smaller filter that hopefully will fit under an unmodified bear claw.
