Over the last couple of weeks while being hemmed up here in the house and not able to get out and do any riding because of the weather. I guess I have had too much time on my hands and spent to much time on the computer. I wound up ordering some goodies and now they have all showed up. Since they are calling for 2 or 3 more storms heading my way that could be dumping more of the white stuff on us, I guess I can get out into the garage and start doing the installs.

I wanted to add some hard wired tunes on the bike. So I purchased a set of 4" 200 watt speakers with a 500 watt amp that I am going to install in behind the gauges under the Corbin fairing. By installing the speakers there will prevent me from being able to get to the ignition key. Sooo, I had to purchase the Rivco ignition relocation kit right. Right? I also purchased a set of the Rivco risers that I will be installing while I'm at it.
But the project that I am not looking forward to is removing the Jardines and repacking them. I know that they need it and I purchased this really cool repacking kit that has 2 layers of Stainless steel and then the fiberglass backing. I will probably save that one for last for sure.

So, remove the fairing and install the risers. Then install the key relocation kit. Then install the speakers and amp. I am going to install the amp under the seat where the filter used to be. Then remove the mufflers and repack and reinstall.

This should pretty much hold me over for awhile as far as spending money on the bike anyway, or at least until the wife gets over her mad when she see's my credit card statement. lol

I think she is over being mad about the triple K&N's and the Tuneboy. Once she gets over this little round, I will have to convince her that I really really need to take the bike to the dyno tuner to just be on the safe side to make sure everything I've installed is right. Right?

She has put up with me for the last 29 and a half years. I don't think she will kick me to the curb over spending a little $$$ on my toys. But if you see this really nice 06 Rocket Classic for sale, that has all this cool Corbin fairing and bags and seat and triple K&N's and a Tuneboy and a PCIII. With this kick ass sound system with a throttle lock and riders back rest. You will know that she wasn't able to get over it this time. LOL

Let me know how the stereo sounds. I am running a Pyle Marine Amp 200 Watt per channel with 6" Kenwood speakers on the rear (Tourpack). It's pretty nice at 60, but at 80, I can't hear a thing. I got a 100 watt amp for cone speakers for the front but they don't cut it either and the amps interfere with each other.

T- FYI, if my memory serves me correctly, if you have had the upgrade kit done the relocation kit plug with the new style upper wiring harness.

Yes I have had the upgrade kit done. Are you saying that if you have had the upgrade that they install the new wiring harness and therefore this kit will not work?

Called the dealer that done the upgrade and he confirmed that when you have the upgrade done, it comes with a new wiring harness. He told me that he could wire it in but he would have to modify the wires and not use the plug that came with the kit.
So if any of you guys that have had the upgrade done. You can't install the Rivco ignition relocation kit.
