Be lying if i said i'll be praying for you .. but i reckon you'd probably know that already. I'd be confident putting bets on you're the kind of bloke that'll 'stay in the ring and keep on boxing until the bell rings' .. and that i reckon will be what get's you through this .... May not be in my prayers but you'll be in my thoughts .. rest assured of that mate

I'm with you in that I don't follow organized religion. But I do believe in a higher power, be it God or Karma or the universal consciousness or what ever name people put it on it. I pray for other people just in case there is someone or something listening. It surly can't hurt. The thing that pisses me off is sports teams asking for Gods help. Do you think he really cares who wins the f..cking GAME ?

Hi all. Hope you had a merry x-mas. I found out shortly before x-mas my cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) has returned after a 15 hiatus. I had radiation the first around. I can't have anymore of that, so it will be chemo this time. It's one of the heavier duty chemo drugs so I'll lose my hair. I guess they have some pretty good drugs out there for nausea now. Pot is not an option with the company I work for. Doesn't interest me anyway. Never cared for the paranoia. Anyway, I'm staying totally positive. I view this more as a nuisance than anything. I still have better than a 90% chance at a cure. The chemo will last 6 months. I guess the real beat down occurs towards the end, so I don't know yet if Maggie Valley is out (I hope not !). Not looking for pity or horror stories. Just hoping to be in your prayers. Fred

I am sorry to hear of your recurrence, Fred. The good news is that, as you've said , the cure rate is very high for this type of lymphoma.
I am an MD so am not talking without knowledge.
