Check all the screws on the radiator shroud and on the exhaust heat shields . They can come loose and before they eventually fall out make a noise replicating the "paint can rattle". I've put locktite last year after the exact problem and was quiet untill yesterday. At 20000 mi and after the upgrade kit the noise started again. Worse than ever. Comes from the front, can make it rattle more with revs. Checked the screws again and found this time the heat shields on my new predator pipes were loose. I would have bet it was the timing chain this time. All quiet today. Was just the screws. Good luck...

You guys... honestly, I'll unload the flower pot for you for 1501 generic prescription dollars. My final offer. Skip you need to turn that cheek. :D

I can't believe a 4 year old bike with only 6K on it. I have had mine 11 months and have 12.5K on it. and I ride 2 other bikes along with my R3T. I have been trying to get all the miles I can on it before the warrenty goes out.

Stop running it!!!

I had the same thing at 7000mi Timing sprocket on crank shaft was loose and split in two. That ment new crankshaft&balencer 2 pistons 6 valves & gears and chain AND 5weeks without it. Triumph covered it all !!

WOW.. I bet that was a surprise when it happened. I have an 05 with 12K on it. I bought it last year and since put 6K on it......no issues. Internal engine noises are definitely nothing to ignore, though. I would take her to the dealer and have them take a look. Triumph has great customer service as far as I have seen.
