Firefox is an open source browser. It serves the same function as IE. No ads, and less susceptible to spyware etc. It is thought by many to be the superior browser available.

Google is your friend, do a search, check out all the information available, and decide for yourself.

Thanks Harry, Wife did it for me but get me on IE so I don't losse all my favorites.
I need to talk to my wife its not working still when I'm on the site:( oh well going to bed when she gets home from work I'll ask her we should of test it first:cool:
Oh I still will not take the chance with out a helmet:)

To get your Favorites:

Start Firefox

Upper Left Hand Corner click on 'File'

Go down near the bottom and select 'Import'.

That will bring all your stuff over from IE. Your Favorites will be under the Heading 'Bookmarks'.

Oh, and to stay On Topic, I'd suggest wearing your helmet while doing the Import. Can't be too safe....

I'm a naysayer. I'm not fond of Firefox or Thunderbird. I've tried both and there are some compatibility issues not only with my website but with my current e-mail client.

FF isn't a cure all not is it bug proof. The patches attest to that.

For those of you that don't want to load FF (like me), go to CNet.com and download IESpell checker. It runs on your toolbar, has customizable dictionaries, runs in multiple languages and best of all, it's not only free but it's virus free (as is everything on CNet).

Search for IESpell It will come up as the top rated spellchecker.

AHA!! I was wondering who the last Bill Gates supporter on earth was. Now I know. :D

As a small side note, I've been doing some contracting work for Google for the last year evaluating websites and their search algorithms and they insist that Firefox be used for all evaluations. In doing that I have visited literally many thousands of websites and I don't recall ever having a problem with Firefox.

If your site has a problem rendering in Firefox I'd speak to your webmaster. Personally I see no issues with your site using Firefox.

I've also found Thunderbird to be easier to use, especially when maintaining several email addresses across different domains.

But, in the end, use whatever works best for you. From what I hear Google Chrome is gaining supporters. I've just become really addicted to all the cool add-ons available for Firefox.

Certain family members and myself have reached an agreement.
I will wear a helmet, and if I am killed while riding, they will put upon my tombstone:

AT LEAST HE WAS WEARING A HELMET.

My hopes are it will make them feel better.
Most of the time I would wear one regardless, but dang, it ought to be my choice.
Here in Maryland it is mandatory for bikers to wear a helmet, but ILLEGAL for a cage driver to wear one.
Somehow what protects me, won't protect them.
