Welcome to the fold. When I think of my first test ride I still get goosebumps ! Thanks for reminding me. Seven years later and I still have the silly grin

I never had a test ride.
Dealer rolled it out of the shop, I got on and fired it up.
Being an old experienced rider and having 5 or 6 dealer folks with me watching my every move, I felt they were worried if an old decrepit dude could handle this MONSTER. Wishing to remove any doubt, I pulled forward to the roadway, made a right turn and promptly goosed the wick producing my first rear end step-out! Wishing to show I had things in total control, I ripped through first and second gears.
The adrenaline rush of being so startled from the step-out and the subsequent power produced boner remains unforgettable to me!
My first ride aboard the KONG!!!

On my test ride, I punched it hard from walking speed and almost flipped it over backwards. Who woulda thought an 800 pound cruiser would do throttle wheelies ?
