New to this beast of a bike.

I just bought a 2015 RT3. Not sure I like it yet. It is a bear to handle in small places, compared to other bikes I have ridden. Do you get used to the tendency of the steering falling into the turn when going slow in tight places? I find it awkward and it seems it really wants me to not make it. What to you guys use for a throttle lock?

Greetings from sunny North Texas. The Gen 1 bikes (I had a 2005 Standard (converted to a Classic) for 17 years) need to use the motor to make slow turns, no coasting. The motor torque will pull you through with no problems. I had a Throttlemeister throttle lock on mine, it was a roll on with your little finger and had a piston that engaged the throttle grip with friction so you could still use the throttle, it just stayed put when you stopped moving your hand.

Thanks for the input! I was in a parking lot last practicing the throttle and doing figure 8s. I have been riding since 1986, but this bike is a whole nother thing. I used to do the same thing on my ST1300, but it was not nearly as heavy in the steering. I will look into the Throttlemeister, also.

Gen 2 Rockets are about 100 pounds lighter so the steering is easier. You have to treat it kinda like a Goldwing, the motor is your friend.
