I was going to go with a CT but decided to stay with MC tires instead. So I ordered a set of Avon Cobras yesterday from Dennis Kirk - they were shipped last night and will be at my home on Thursday.:D Total cost with shipping was $379.01. Will have them mounted and DynaBeads inserted for balancing. Hope to have all this done within the next week - will post my personal thoughts about these tires and the DynaBeads.

I've used the dyna beads for years with excellent results. When the tire wears out just cut a window in the side of the tire and retreive the beads and use them again. As far as the back tire goes, just ordered a Riken raptor for $102 and will last 2 to 3 times what the Avon will.

Biker 1059, are you putting 3 oz of Dynabead in your Rapter?
just wondering if car tires need 3 oz?

Yes, I believe that's right. I think it was 3 in the back and 2 in the front although going over will not hurt.

I used a static balancer and sticky weights. Works fine. I also average 7,000 miles/yr on my Bridgestone Potenza Grid. I mounted that tire in 2008 and it still looks fresh.

Most places that have the electronic balancer cannot balance the triumph rear wheel the bolt that goes through the center is not long enough the triumph dealer uses a static balancer so if you have a tire put on and they're charging you for balancing you better check
