New owner in PA

BTW: Rocket 3 floorboards are a featured sale item this week at Rivco. http://www.rivcoproducts.com/

good luck with the new bike! when i first got my Rocket, i shipped it to San Diego and did a 2500 mile ride with my cousin. The Rocket does not disappoint and takes on steepmountain passes with ease.

G'day and welcome. Where in PA are you? There is a big chunk that is considered Harley country (near the factory), and that is always fun to ride on the RIII.

Welcome from York Pa. Harley open house is in late September. I love thrashing them around York.

Welcome to the site fromNew Jersey, Chizzo!

One word (song) of advice - Take your Time (Do It Right!), get to know your new girl...

You know you ought to slow down
You been working too hard and that's a fact
Sit back and relax a while
Take some time to laugh and smile

Lay your heavy load down
So we can stop and kick back
It seems we never take the time to do
All the things we want to, yeah

Now, baby we can do it
Take the time, do it right
We can do it, baby
Do it tonight...

So I am not going up tomorrow anymore. I am going today! I called him to make sure he would be there tomorrow and he has had 3 offers. For $4500 I thought this may happen. I am taking $500 with me and heading up the road after work to give him a down payment. He owns a small car dealership so I feel OK giving him cash with a receipt. Here is the link to the bike. http://chambersburg.craigslist.org/mcy/4596538841.html

Looks sweet. Hope it works out for you.

Hope you get it!

And welcome from north-central Pa (Williamsport, Pa.).

God bless!!

Michael

Put $300 down on it last night. Another $4200 this week and she is all mine. Windshield, Triumph bags, TOR exhaust, heated grips, running lights, passenger and driver backrest, tour pack, passenger floor boards, chrome clock on bars and dime size dent in the tank that didn't go through the paint. Sorry, it is black. It was pooring down rain so I didn't test ride but I did get to hear her run. Sounds like an angry tractor at idle, but like nothing else I have ever heard when she is rev'd which is exactly what I wanted to hear. I am 5'11 and those handlebars feel like they are a mile away. I may be searching the site for a fix to that.
