New Member From Idaho

Welcome from Nampa, Idaho. Where is that road ? I have watched the vidio several times but can't place it. It sort of reminds me of the road to Ola, but is doesn't look rough enough.

Hello Red Rocket 3.....

Hey, I have been rides in CC(2C) and have been asked several times if I was "Red Rocket".

The road in the video does look a lot like the Ola road, but I do know what you mean by it being too smooth. That road has a lot of holes and ruts.

The road I was on is just about the perfect road for the power band of the Rocket. It is the road from Brownlee to Cambridge . Most people use that road to go to Oxbow and Half Way Oregon, Baker City loop the other way. This road has a great uphill slope for 35+miles and all of the corners are banked well and you can see traffic for a long way off. If you can get in tune with the road, it is possible to do the ride with little or no braking and just use the throttle only.. I use the upslope for braking in corners and on occasion let the engine do some braking. And YES it is a great road to make the engine ROAR!!! And It will ROAR if you know what I am talking about..

The best time to make the run out of Brownlee towards Cambridge, would be between 11:00am to about 30 minutes before sunset. Around sunset you get the coyote and above size animals moving around the road side and early morning you get the sun in your eyes and several Mule deer standing around. The road is well kept up. I usually just drive down to the Gateway dinner(not bad food), have lunch and then Let her fly....

There are a couple of more roads that set up well for Torque VS Horsepower over by Payette as well, but this is the best one....

Hope to see you on the road sometime!!!
