New headlight bulbs

The piaa h4 bulbs can be purchased for $50 and they draw the 60/55 watt fromn your system but put out 110/100w. I am in the market for these and have found several sites. they all seem to be the same price though. I also am going to switch out my driving lights which are h3 size and 35watts. Piaa makes a 35w that puts out 70w. I am choosing the star white version which is in the 3800 range as oppesed to 3200 for the halogens. I would definestely go with the piaa and for $50 bucks its two of the others and it is made for the enviroment you will be using it in.

Try this site PIAA Powersports H4 Star White Anti-Vibration Bulb (Single) RTI06_

you can also search for piaa h4 motorcycle bulb and a ton come up if you want to search for better lights. Also PIAA explains on there website about there different brightness factors
Its important to stay with the same wattage so you dont load your electrical system more than neccessary. It has a certain design associated with the amp draw for the battery and such

T, be carefull about those "Blue" and any other high output no-name bulbs on ebay. They are sometimes China made goofy colored bulbs that are real junk. You have surely seen some cars around with weird looking headlights, that's what I'm talking about. I made that mistake ONCE, the description and picture was intriguing and the price was reasonable so I orderd a set. What came was a pair of bulbs in a very elaborate flashy packaging, totally in Chinese. I put them in my MINI and was too embarassed to leave them installed, took them right back out. I'm using the Sylvania top of the line brightstars (I think thats the name, anyway they are the best sylvania makes) in both cars and the bike now, I'm happy with them.
I'd like to read more about the PIAA's and maybe next time I have a burn out, give one a try against the Sylvania's, see if they are worth the price. Give them a side-by-side comparison.

I use these jobs, they are a purple hue and match me paint job! They are VERY bright, modulator is going on next...
