New family member

Good for you on the rescue TC. All of my dogs over the years came from rescues. They were all characters and were all special.

Seems to be a bit of a common theme here of rescuing stray unwanted dogs who's fates weren't looking too promising .. nice to know. Catherine found KOBI her ridgeback cross at the tip in Darwin , dog was on deaths door due to starvation, dehydration and such. Dogs 9 years old now and I've never seen a more loyal dog. Catherine runs every morning down at the beach, Kobi would die defending her I have no doubt .......... PS I only run if I'm being shot at

TC what's up with that, you mean you have a heart? Sounds like a great addition to the family. I have found that most of the rescue dogs bond like no other, Catherine will have a guardian for sure. Give Manson a treat for me.

Yeah, I always thought he had a mean streak in him:D0

Good for you on the rescue. Unfortunately I am allergic to dogs. And I like them. Bigger the better. Like the Russian Caucasians.

My former German Shepherd was a rescue, his ashes are still in a sealed box on a bookshelf in my home office.

He was with us nearly ten years, and is still rembered as a neighborhood enforcer. He would let babies pull his ears, but was very territorial to any stranger taller than him. FedEx and the Electric company wouldn't come to my house. He lived a happy life.

Post a pic!

You are a good man TC,, i adopted an abused dog a few months back, she was so scared of men that it took 3 months for me to be able to pet her, she was very thin and ribs showing, today she is very healthy and a great house dog!!:)

God Bless you, TC!

They understand much more about what's going on than we realize.

Best dog we had or ever will have was a young Australian Shepherd from the pound.

Smarter than anyone could believe, loyal and fearless.

He lived 'till he was almost 17 years old.

I still miss that magnificent dog.

This should probably go in the Good Quotes thread but it is very apt considering the subject of this thread. I see the truth of this quote at least once a week.

“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.” -Mark Twain
