New Barnetts clutch now installed all good, does not feel much harder than stock clutch had to adjust up a little more than the stockie but just back from test ride and happy Hope that lasts:):)
If by adjusting it up ,ore then the stockie you men less to not free play be carful you will ruin th elifter piece and break the lifter shaft. the good news is you will be faster puliing it apart and putting it back together the second time. I get it done in less the two hours myself and thats woith pulling the blower and all. (the real time saving is not pulling the front wheel brake, and fender. You just drap a heavy bath towel over the fender to protect it and be carfule pilling the radiator. thats probably 30 to 440 minuts saved right there.) ( then you just pull the lower water pump cover bolts a little stick a drian pan under and put a flat blade screw driver in the slot to crak open the radiator to drain it. Once drained pull the blots and leave the cove and hose hanging on the bottom of the radiator) ( the other hose you just pull the clamp bolt up on the top of the clutch cover make sure your have the bolts out of the water pump and pull both at the same time no need to loosen water pump hase clamps as the wil remain in line. you might have to pry the top chrome hose out of the bolck its just a O-ring when you go back togeth grease it a little with petrolium jelly it will slide in easier.) ( also just loosen the two bolts that hold the clutch cable bracket to the clutch cover them the spline clam[ after marking if exact location.) older original Rockets did not have the alignment mark on the liftershaft arm so you want to make note where it goes.) sorry to be rambleing just some things I learned doing mine. Hope it helps if I were someone I would copy this page and past it on a word file and keep it for reference incase you ever have to do the repair. I do this all the time even when people have troubles ya never know how good notes can do to help a job go easier. I aslo copy pictures and all.

Oh and I would use MTC fibers any day before Barnett but that my preference because I beat the snot out of both and MTC hold up better and does not heat up the steels which warps them as much. Nothing wrong with the barnett steals and the spring s though.

Thanks Scott that's pretty much the way I did it ,I have about 1mm free play at the lever,I replaced clutch cable with new slinky one, seemed a bit shorter than original cable that may be reason for having to adjust more, fairly sure all ok. Off on a long cruise Saturday, Sunday so things should settle after that I hope! Greetings from Aus
