New Brake Pads.

Fitted a set of "Flips" EBC brake pads to the front brakes today and replaced the brake fluid using my air powered vacuum brake bleeder. The brakes have never been so good and the lever has never been as firm. The process is so simple with the bleeder I ran almost a whole bottle of fluid through the system in a matter of minutes.

I always had troubles with the vacuum bleeders because they leaked air at the bleeder. If I didn't use teflon tape on it, It would never work.

Sort of related, my rear bleeder sometimes slightly seeps brake fluid around the threads. The only way to get it to stop is to apply a lot more than 2nm pounds of force to it; while tightening it... which I don't really like to do. Maybe there's a flaw in the caliper where the bleeder fitting is screwed into. Don't look forward to replacing the caliber if that's necessary, the rear caliber is not rebuildable and cost almost $500.00....

The leaking under vacuum is why I try and use a pressure bleeder, if possible. If you can get them hooked up and holding air, they seem to work the best.

Thanks for posting the link; I see that there is thread sealer for them. Yes, I know and try to be careful when over tightening it. Have been wondering if there's a compatible thread sealer for a bleeder fitting.
