Already did; that was part of the emissions removal I mentioned. You'll notice in that first pic - the absence of that shiny tube that served as the AI port. Sel-Motion tossed the plug kit in for free with my order. I went above and beyond what the directions said to do, though, removing both canisters under the swingarm, the AI manifold and check valve, and every hose that didn't serve as the fuel overflow, carb vents, and crankcase vent. You shoulda seen the pile of excess parts!

Kept it all, of course. Just in case. They're in a box in the loft of my shed, next to the bigger box of stock Rocket parts (mufflers, cat box, seat, rear shocks, intake crap).

That's O.K. if you live in a state that doesn't do annual checks or will never do them in the future. If you live somewhere like California and the inpectors see you've removed the smog controls they will make you replace everything, including your original exhausts.

My BIL has 7 bikes including an 1800 VTX and a Rocket. He frequents this forum and we ran the bikes off side by side a couple years ago. He pulled me 6 bike lengths off the line but I closed it up and we quit at 100. Even he was very impressed...so was I.

As far as blowing smoke up your ass....
Anytime you want to drag your ass up here with your stock VTX and bring your title...if you have one, I'll be happy to relieve it from your wallet.

I built the bike myself. I didn't add parts...like you do. The difference between me and you is you are a parts replacer. I'm not. All the internal modifications to the engine and exhaust with the exception of the cam grind, was done in my machine shop, not purchased from someone else and bolted on. I took 2 years to build the bike, not a month bolting crap on.

While I'm not adverse to aftermarket parts and add on accessories (I do sell them...like you do), unlike you, I know my way around a machine shop and I have the knowledge as well as the means to extract additional performance without procuring it from someone else....which is what you do.

While I may offer acessories made by other manufacturers on my website, I too am a manufacturer of quality acessories. That sets me apart from a middelman like you....

I know my Bonnie, which runs really well, won't touch a VTX in 1/4, 1/2, 1/3, 660 feet, or any other distance.

I had a 2004 Bonneville. After I put the TOR's on it, it sounded very much like I remember my 1970 TR6R sounding. The 2004 Bonnie was a dynamite bike. However, after I test drove the Rocket, I sold the Bonnie and got the Rocket. Four years later, I'm getting a bit tired of the Rocket's weight and am thinking about trading down to a Bonnie. This assumes that I actually believe that I'm over the power trip the Rocket affords. I'm very fickle. I'll probably keep the Rocket.

I've thought about doing the same thing. If they had made the Thunderbird when I bought my Rocket, I probably would have ended up with the Thunderbird instead.

I've even thought about selling the Rocket and the Trophy 1200 and buying two Bonnevilles, but, I'm pretty addicted to the Rocket's hot rod style, power and flexibility.

By flexibility, I mean.. I can make my own R3T (with more power ), or, in a few minutes, I can strip it down and have one bad looking muscle bike.. atleast in my opinion.. and that's all that counts!..
