I like what I see but IMO I still would relocate the overflow bottle. I do have some opinion on the ram air design being done but they are just my opinions which most likely does not count for squat. Ram air is fine when moving fast but on normal riding I am worried about air flow disruption/particular starvation in certain areas of the intake plenum.
 
Birds of a feather. I am getting to the age where, nor did I ever care too much, for knee dragging. But, it is the torque that addicts me. My stock Roadster just doesn't do the trick since riding the standard with the few upgrades and Tripp tune. I do not like going fast for very far nor going fast while dragging pegs. But I love getting from stopped (or slow) to real fast, fast. Not quite the beast Warp owns but it should be a formidable ride.

Your prose regarding your power gave me a chubby. I used to ride a friend's turbo 1000 Kaw and it made straight a ways almost as much fun as the twisties. I'm sure a super charged 2300 Rocket could only be WAY MORE impressive.

I really hear what you be saying, Amigo about straights versus twisties. The more I think about it all as I sit here on my ass being a cripple, the Rocket is actually more suited to what you do. I'm just an over age sport bike rider who remains addicted to tossing iron around tight curves. Perhaps I shall modify my ways when I return to the saddle in four months or so . . . perhaps not.

I hope your own convalescence is progressing well.

PS: I really don't give a rip about a motor's color. This is my first black motor and I have it because that's how it came - flat and fast.
The matte has grown on me because I don't have to worry about scratches n' $hit.

Jim is more than aware of this - he keeps telling me about modelling the interior of the "claw" with baffles so that air is directed to where it needs to be. Apart from his experience in aircraft he's roughing up his lad who is qualified regarding fluid aerodynamics. We shall see.

Frankly as long as we can flush the area with ambient temp air - that'd be fine by me. Theoretically if we get it right - we could even drop temps a bit.

We can always fit a fan - oh wait you already have!

Riding twisties is (imo) about maintaining a more or less constant speed. Nice flat torque curve (or bloody great flywheel) and change gears as seldom as poss'. My old Guzzi can still take a fair few sports bikes with peaky engines in true alpine conditions. It is after all where they were developed. The shorter wheelbase helps.
