I have a foolproof plan and a airtight alibi
While I am waiting for my cam-cover gasket to come in, my 2012 Rocket started doing something peculiar; popping into neutral all the time. I never had a bit of trouble before this, it just started one day. Shifting from 1st to 2nd requires several tries, as it won’t go the 1st time. Also, while in 3rd decelerating, it will pop into neutral, all by itself. I don't hot-rod or bang-shift it ever. Any ideas where to start looking?
The only thing I have done recently is an oil change; I did use a thicker blend (20W50) to help during the extreme desert heat we have here -115degrees- but now it has cooled off somewhat. This is the only thing I can imagine that would have anything to do with false neutrals.
