Nearly A Captain - Some Questions...

Hi Warp, NM and all,

This community is great! I really appreciate the time you're spending to help me.

I'm reasonably good with vehicles and do most of my own maintenance and fettling on my bikes. I'm glad to hear about the GiPro ATRE opening the secondaries (understanding that the gear map it's set to must be programmed that way) and also that completely removing the secondaries doesn't need a new map. I think that a Tuneboy will be in my future but I want to get to know the idiosyncrasies of the Rocket first, before I go putzing around inside it.

I'm also going to see how mileage is affected with the different GiPro settings and if I can control my right wrist (ooh err missus...). Obviously with a Rocket the mileage is generally of little importance but my wife and I like to tour around southwest TX where open gas stations can be few and far between.

When riding with SWMBO I'm always very concious of her safety and comfort. Having said that, it's not unknown for her to lean over my shoulder and say "go faster" or "burn that car off" when we're riding.

Thanks for all your help, - it's much appreciated.

Regards,
Mark Dunn

Just a reminder when you get your Tuneboy remember to switch off your GiPro and just use it as a gear indicator after downloading a tune or else you'll have difficulties ( apparently it messes with the electronics or something) Someone wrote that in connection with the triple K+N's mod so I took that advice and everything worked great:exit:

I believe what happens is tune boy looks for afew gear maps and the ECU which is fooled says I don't have them maps. this occured with T Evans. it took us awhile but we got it sorted out!!
