I have a suggestion for a proposed route for next years trip to Nabiac for those of us leaving from Warwick.

Warwick, Tenterfield, Glenn Innes, Guyra, Armidale, turn off the main highway at Uralla then the back road to Walcha. Pick up the Thunderbolt Way to Gloucester then Bucketts Way for a bit then turn off to Nabiac.

It's a bike friendly road and from Walcha it's some twisties then straight stretches then twisties again cause it runs along the Barrington Tops.

I've travelled down that way quite often to visit my eldest daughter near Newcastle and have always seen plenty of bikes having fun.

It's 590k's from Warwick that way, if you miss Uralla and go through to Bendemeer and take the Oxley Highway its 110k's further.

You won me Al, I'll go through Cooyar, out the back of Toowoomba & meet you before you leave Warwick.:D To make it easier on Cathy will leave the day before and find a motel in Warwick for the night, then get stuck in the next day.:D

Cathy In Training

Well got Cathy out on the road today, her first long ride to Bundaberg accompanied with Hanso and Anne. Bloody road works were getting a bit beyond a joke all three bikes cover in s##t, looks like clean up day tomorrow.

Cathy did real well considering she only been riding for 4 weeks and you could see the confidence build especially on the way home, told her she is in training for the ride to Nabiac.

She has come through her first decent ride 250km with flying colours, was even surprised with the local four wheelers not giving her a hard time when she was being cautious in some of the corners.

Well you be real careful Cathy. Don't want anything happening to you.

It would be foolish to try and keep pace with riders that have a lifetime of riding experience.. just go at your own pace Cath. Motorcycles are pretty unforgiving to those that don't treat them with respect.

Thanks TC, I just went at my own pace, was more comfortable riding home, we will be doing a few trips like this so I get used to riding for longer periods and getting my butt used to it.... I'm pinching Marty's gel seat pad.... :D

Dont worry TC Marty rode up front and I stayed at the back and played tail end charlie,we let her set her own pace and just kept the tintops clear of her :)

Your butt doesn't get used to it you just learn to think about something else.
