I bought a set of Harley sofftail extensions and some Kuryakyn footrests. Since I have corbin bags, I deleted the one bolt that went through the original footrest and into the bracket as the new setup has a longer bolt that tightens the bracket on the back side. I bought two sets of two and 1/2 inch bolts with nuts and lock nuts, also applied locktite so they would not loosen due to vibration.

The installation required a longer spacer, about one inch long that I had on hand to clear the chrome cover on the swing arm. I then drilled through the chrome cover and the swing arm, dead center in the chrome cover on both sides and mounted the extensions and what you see is the result! I can also use these for my own footrest when I get tired of having my feet forward!

And yes, I have bugs on my bike!

I like it N1, looks good and probably more comfortable for your wife, and yourself when needed. Thanks for the pics, that, with the commentary makes it all understandable, and doable. Thanks again. skip
PS. is that a Eagle on the back end? what size and how do you like it?

Yes it's an Eagle. 225/15 and I absolutely love it. Sticky in dry and even stickier in wet!
