Mud Paws for cold weather riding.

I came across these hand covers at a local bike & atv shop for $20. Mud Paws by Moose Utility Division. They're water & wind proof, made of nylon (outside) & fur (inside) They're actually made for atvs but they work fine on the RIII. Simply slip on & velcro down. Many places sell them. Just google it. I rode in 40 degree weather with no gloves without any problems, but will wear some light thin lined gloves anyways. Mainly for when hands are removed

Do they flap around at highway speed? Meaning; do they "flutter" in the wind stream?

Great find but I'm afraid that they won't do me much good. My frek'n bike won't start in cold enough weather that the paws would do any good. grrrrr....

I have something similar and they work great. The only problem I've had is it will turn on the brake light at highway speeds from the wind pushing on the brake lever. So I just ride with my fingers extended.

Try using a battery charger with a 50 amp start circuit. The fuel injection system should put enough gas into the cylinders to light it off.

Negetive. Cruised 80 mph with no fluttering, except when you pull your hand out. Dont really recommend that though. Actually seemed to streamline better then without mud paws. Plenty of room inside Paws. Never actuated brake lever to engage brake light as well.
One other note of interest. Theyre soft enough if you did pull your hand out & had an emergency you could still grab the clutch and disengage it or the brake and stop.

Its possible you need a tune for the colder morning starts like IDK did. His tune worked really well for my bike, but I have a similar setup.

Not sure, depending on the type you have. but there is plenty of room inside. Dude look how big they are it swallows my hand.
