"One of our members saw my motorcycle camping photo and suggested I start a thread on the topic, and to start it off, here is a list of what I carry and some photos to go with it" --

I use a 4 person tent that I can stand up in with an independent fly so i can pack everything up and get into wet weather gear before dropping the fly.

As to carrying gear.
On the rear rack:
1 X Waterproof Pack with tent, queen size air bed, air pump, space blanket and mallet.
1 X Waterproof Pack with oversize sleeping bag, air pillow some clothing items.
1 X Camp chair (Helinox lightweight)
1 x Camp table (Spotlight - Spinifex Square Aluminium Folding Table Aluminium | Anaconda)

Throw over Panniers fitted to Mitzy's Quick release brackets
1 side : Trangia cooking set,Metho for burner, plates and cultlery, coffee tea and condiments plus washing gear. Spare shoes some tools.(depends on catering options for the trip)
2 side : Change of clothes, towel (depends on weather carrying pillion)

Tank bag
Tablet various, charging cables, torch, toiletries, medication.
Gloves winter or summer (the ones Im not wearing) Over gloves

Underseat
Wet weather jacket and pants in the air box (Ramair mod )

On the pillion seat
If not taking passenger I will strap a soft cooler bag with drink and food. (either take from home or fill closer to the site).

Cheers

Al

I enjoy camping too. And agree 100% on the air mattress. Not sure if I carry quite as much gear, but I still seem to pack a lot.

I also loved to do camping great memories my best was a 15 days touring with the wife from rome to dubrovnik and back on two wheels slept in the tent every night , had two custom made chairs made by a gent in the US for BMeers club members quite the design . unfortunately they also burned this spring cannot pass them along to another riding camper life goes on

Enjoy the days of camping on the road as i did. Today it ain't happening. A hot shower and a hotel room with a nice bed and an in house bar is the only way to go for me these days...:D
