More to the Story, and someone died

At least she had a gun and was able to use it. I will occasionally carry a 380 when dressed up and going out with the wife. I am more than willing to let anyone who believes it is an ineffective round stand about 7 feet away from me and I will shoot you. Whatever the caliber a person carries it is usually going to be more effective than harsh words.

I normally carry a Delta Elite (10mm) that has been worked over by Ted Yost, but there are times that may be a touch inappropriate so the 380 goes into my pocket.

I agree as I do the same, but for a gun behind the counter in a liquor store? Nah

I agree but I would rather a person have a gun they are comfortable with, and can use rather than one they may be intimidated by and not really learn how to use it. Being the sexist I am I don't even try to teach my wife the ins and outs of semi-auto pistols, things like failure to feed, failure to eject or the trusty "tap, rack. bang". I just have her proficient with a revolver, if it doesn't go bang, pull the trigger again. Much simpler for her. She has a .357 revolver on her side of the bed, I have a 10mm revolver on mine so no matter which one she grabs it will be the same manual of arms.

10mm revolver? I didn't think they made one in the 10.

Had to look up Medical Lake Bob, not knowing where it is. I think I rode that 902 loop once upon a time years ago. I recall the lakes. I'll have to take a run over this spring. I like to ride over to Couer d'Alene, ID once in awhile for dinner and an overnight and will check it out on the way over.

And come to think of it, I'm going recce that 97 loop that runs along the west side of the lake. I want to find a couple of boat ramps I can use this summer.

Let me know when you come over, the ride down the west side of the lake is nice. Give me a day or two notice and I will take the day off and join you.

Will do. I can make it on a weekend so you won't have to take off work. Will be sometime in May.

460 Rowland from a 5" barrel is my flavor of choice

Bigger is not always better and over $1.00 per round sux big.
Admittedly I've never fired a Rowland, but I'll stick with my many 9s and a few 22 mags.
Simplicity and less confusion for this old head.
