From the article... "Harley-Davidson will notify owners later this month..." In the meantime, hold on tight!

Whether you like them or not, that would suck to be riding along, minding your own business, and ....WHAM... locked up front wheel.

I think if I had one of those bikes, I would be sitting on the dealers front door this morning saying I don't think I want to wait.

I totally agree. The problem comes when it's a rider who is not following the interweb and is blissfully unaware until HD sends out the mail later this month!

My next door neighbor got transferred to the Canadian embassy in Cuba, not allowed for some reason to bring a vehicle older than 4 yrs. He replaced his/her Harleys to go, the dealership claimed they did the 'do not ride" clutch recall, a couple months in,he is holding his clutch in, and it disengages popping into gear. Fortunately he is a big man and could catch the bike before anything bad can happen, turns out they never touched it, it was original, he didn't take any chances and had another clutch for hers sent down, he also had to pay for hers, BECAUSE he has taken the bikes to Cuba, they wont cover warranty issues there. He fortunatly has met the Harley dealer owner in Miami, he gets him his warranty parts and bills them to his own bike. Maybe head office hangs him out to dry, but at least a service minded owner backs him up. I'll send him the previous link now, thanks for the post.
